Railway automation

Prolan Process Control Co. and Prolan Alfa Ltd. have been dealing with railway automation since 1998. Our first large project was the delivery of GYSEV’s integrated railway control system where beside the power supply control (FET) we created the functionality of central traffic control systems (KÖFE, KÖFI), too. The system complies with CENELEC MSZ-EN 50126, 50128, 50129 standards. In 2009 we handed over the remote traffic control system in Szeged region which controls 13 railway stations and supervises 40 stations, in 2011 we finished the modernization of the railway line of South Balaton region. In 2010 we worked on the reconstruction of Sopron-Szentgotthárd line of GYSEV. Our Rolling Stock Department installed Locomotive On-board Computers (LOC) on 1500 diesel and electric traction vehicles and control cars of MÁV group. In 2012 MÁV had our LOC on their newly purchased TRAXX vehicles installed at Bombardier’s factory in Kassel.

Energy management

As from 2012 a newly established business branch concentrates on developing our RRCR-s from which 230.000 devices assist in rendering load control effective in Hungary. Our Ripple Control Centre plays a key role in controlling street lighting, limiting consumption and maintaining load balance. ProMETER combines an RRCR with a smart meter. Remote meter reading, data storage and processing are available due to the metering module while immediate tariff switchover and load control are functions the RRCR module makes possible.

Electric power industry

The Energy division of Prolan deals with substation automation and its connected electrical grid for more than 20 years.
Profield RTU, is our Hungarian market leading product family, that operates at all power plants and transmission line substations operated by MAVIR Zrt. Profield RTUs operate at 220 substations of the Hungarian distributor companies as well as at several small and biogas power plants and wind farms. Countrywide 1500 radio wave connected units help the efficient electric grid operation and maintenance. Our RTU system support the following worldwide data transfer protocols: IEC60870-5-101/102/103/104, Modbus, JBUS, Siemens 8FW, 3964R. Our RTU system has a Level A 61850 Certificate issued by Kema.
Prolan developed the ZEUS SCADA that operates at 200 substations. ZEUS SCADA centres operate the entire grid of the EdF Démász Zrt, also all substations of the transmission grid operated by MAVIR ZRt. The new, so-called IDCS, SCADA/EMS/DMS/WFM/OMS dispatcher centre of the RWE ÉMÁSZ Hálózati Kft. was developed together with the Serbian TELVENT DMS Company. Following a successful trial running, now the system entirely operates paralleled with the previous system. We make our system to be able to operate gas, water and other distribution networks.
