To extend the range of Smart Grids into Smart Homes, Prolan Smart Energy offers a reliable load control device, the SwitchBox.
SwitchBox allows Smart Grid dispatchers to temporarily switch on/off bigger household loads in case of need. The SwitchBox is built with ZigBee communication and could be controlled from the utility company dispatch center by sending the switching command to the ESP that forwards the command to the switches. The utility installed SwitchBoxes are not connecting to the customers HAN, only to the ESP so illegal switching is avoided.
The capacity of the relays is optional, but the maximum is up to three times 40 Amps.
