Company History

Prolan was established in 1990 by 12 process control engineers as a limited liability company. The aim of the owners was to develop a set of process control devices that would compete with the best available in the global marketplace.

Prolan Ltd and its subsidiary companies (formerly Prolan LLC) are now an exponentially growing group of companies with over 220 employees. We are proud to have several successful projects behind us that we have accomplished with consistent development of innovative products.

Brief history of our company:

1990 – Establishment of Prolan LLC

1998 – Conversion of Prolan to a private limited company (Ltd), establishment of Prolan Alfa LLC

2001 – Relocation to the new company premises in Budakalász

2003 – Acquisition of Siemens Telephone Factory, renamed as Prolan Electronics Factory LLC

2003 – Acquisition of 30% share in Hungarian Transport Automation LLC (current name: Thales Rail Signalling Solutions Kft.

2009 – Establishment of Prolan Africa Ltd

2010 – Establisment of Prolan Co. brach office in Germany,
