Hungarian–Czech Cooperation to Support the Development of the Railway Industry 2026

Márton Feldmann, Deputy CEO of Prolan, Chairman of HUNGRAIL’s Energy Committee and member of the UNIFE Presiding Board, participated in a professional meeting bringing together representatives of the Hungarian and Czech railway industries to discuss upcoming development opportunities and ways to strengthen industrial cooperation between the two countries.

The investments and modernisation projects ahead of the Hungarian railway sector also represent significant opportunities for the rail supply industry. One of the key topics of the meeting was therefore how international technological expertise can be combined with local market knowledge and Hungarian operational and engineering experience.

In his contribution, Márton Feldmann highlighted that time is a critical factor in delivering the railway developments ahead. It is not always possible to spend years developing entirely new solutions from scratch. Proven technologies and best practices already successfully implemented in other markets should therefore be identified, adapted and applied wherever appropriate.

Achieving this requires close cooperation across the railway industry. Combining international technological expertise with a thorough understanding of the Hungarian market and public procurement environment can create partnerships that deliver competitive and sustainable solutions for both sides.

The meeting also addressed upcoming railway development projects in Hungary, opportunities for suppliers, and the importance of implementation and long-term maintenance in building a modern and reliable railway system.

For Prolan, connecting international expertise with Hungarian engineering know-how and developing strong industry partnerships remain important elements of our commitment to the continued development and modernisation of railway automation.
