The FNN Steuerbox developed by Prolan Zrt. has reached another important milestone: the device has obtained the BSZ (Beschleunigte Sicherheitszertifizierung) certification required for the German market. This means that the solution complies with the information security requirements prescribed in the German energy sector and can therefore be integrated into the intelligent infrastructure of energy providers and consumers.

With the ongoing digitalization of electricity networks and the increasing deployment of intelligent metering systems, standardized, secure and certified solutions are becoming increasingly important. In the German energy sector, compliance with information security and interoperability requirements is a fundamental prerequisite for the applicability of such systems.

During the development of the Prolan Steuerbox, special emphasis was placed on meeting the requirements of the German intelligent metering infrastructure (iMSys), standardized by the FNN (Forum Netztechnik/Netzbetrieb). The newly obtained BSZ certification confirms that the device complies with the relevant information security requirements of the BSI.

In accordance with the regulatory frameworks of §14a EnWG and §9 EEG, the Steuerbox supports the integration of controllable consumers and energy systems, either through EEBUS communication or relay-based control.

The collaborations and projects of recent years also demonstrate the growing market interest in Prolan’s solutions.
