CONTENT OF THE PROJECT

The ECLIPSE Smart City system has a three-level communication solution. The area controller locates the transformer by the PLC (Power Line Communication) method, maintaining the existing 230V power supply line with the lamp controller located in each lamp. With the data acquisition and monitoring center, ECLIPSE Smart City, however, it maintains a GPRS connection. Users access the system via the Internet via a WEB browser. Intelligent public lighting is by itself a component of the Smart City concept and, in addition to its special features, it can serve as a basis for many other clever services beyond the public lighting functions. Intelligent public lighting infrastructure provides a distributed, all-in-one communication capability available on every lantern of the city, enabling new services to be built without further major infrastructure investment.
